Greg Roeder

Gregory A. Roeder, CFA, Principal, Co-Portfolio Manager

Greg founded Adirondack Research & Management Inc. in 2004 and currently serves as head of its research department and as co-portfolio manager of the Adirondack Small Cap Fund. Prior to founding ARMI, Greg served 18 years in various capacities within the financial services industry, including analyst/portfolio manager for Eddy & Wakefield, equity research analyst for CL King and Associates and assorted roles within KeyCorp’s credit/risk management groups. Greg graduated from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in economics and Hofstra University with a master’s degree in finance. He has been a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation since 2002. As co-portfolio manager of the Adirondack Small Cap Mutual Fund, Greg was recognized in 2011 and 2013 by Lipper Inc. for managing the best small cap value fund in the U.S. for the three-year period from 2008 to 2010 and for the five-year period from 2008 to 2012, respectively.  Greg can be reached at groeder@adirondackfunds.com.

Matt Reiner

Matthew P. Reiner, CFA, Principal, Co-Portfolio Manager

Matt joined Adirondack Research & Management Inc. in February 2005 as principal, chief investment officer and co-portfolio manager of the Adirondack Small Cap Fund. Previously, he was an institutional portfolio manager and vice president of research at Paradigm Capital Management. Matt began his investment career with CL King & Associates as a sell-side research associate and later as an equity analyst.  He earned his MBA from the University at Albany and his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Matt has been a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation since 1999. Steve Gonick

Steve Gonick, Principal

Steve joined Adirondack Research and Management Inc. in May  2009 and  represents Adirondack Funds in the community.  In this capacity, Steve oversees most of the operations outside of research and portfolio management, including investor/media relations and the firm’s marketing, branding and corporate responsibility initiatives which includes the firm’s Adirondack Cup Competition.   In 2011, partnering with  Pierce Communications, Steve was co-recipient of a PRSA award for the Adirondack Funds public relations campaign.  In 2013, he was honored by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce as a Chamber Champion for encouraging local businesses to work with other local businesses.  Steve graduated from Ithaca College in 1985 and serves as an advisor to the Ithaca College Business School and its Real Time fund.  Steve is also active in a number of community based organizations including Congregation Beth Emeth, where he serves on the endowment, technology and finance committee.  Steve held various marketing positions with Fortune 500 companies including US West, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Johnson & Johnson prior to joining ARMI.  Steve can be reached at sgonick@adirondackfunds.com.

Steve Gonick

Jarrod Becker, Chief Compliance Officer

Jarrod joined Adirondack Research and Management Inc. in July, 2013 as Chief Compliance Officer. He is also currently the Chief Compliance officer (since 2010) and Secretary (since 2011) of Adirondack Funds. Prior to joining ARMI, Jarrod worked as Business Manager for an environmental conservation non-profit where he drafted, managed, and implemented contracts, and was in charge of the non-profit’s financials. Previously, Jarrod worked for a law firm in Washington, D.C. where he was responsible for all aspects of preferential transfer actions stemming from the bankruptcies of multimillion-dollar national companies, including negotiating and writing settlement agreements. Jarrod earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University in 2002 and his Bachelor of Arts (Biology Major) from Grinnell College in 1999. Alicia Lasch

Alicia D. Lasch, Analyst

Alicia joined Adirondack Research and Management Inc. in 2010 as an analyst supporting marketing, sales and finance. Prior to ARMI, Alicia worked with The Women’s Fund of the Capital Region. Previously, she spent more than 10 years in corporate finance with private start-ups and publicly traded companies serving the government, telecommunications and technology sectors in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Boston, respectively. Alicia received her bachelor’s degree in finance from Boston College in 1993. She continues to be active with The Women’s Fund as well as with the Academy of the Holy Names, where she serves as a member of the board of trustees.
